Swiping Pics

It's easy to copy pictures from your browser screen onto your hard disk. You can do so right here on the HTML Publishing Bible CD-ROM, and on the real Internet as well. The steps are slightly different for Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator:

  1. In your web browser, right-click the picture you want.
  2. If you're using Internet Explorer choose Save Picture As. If you're using Netscape Navigator choose Save this Image as.
  3. In the Save As dialog box, go to the folder where you store your web pages (e.g. My Web Site.)
  4. In the File name box type in a filename that will be easy to remember later (or just use the existing .gif or .jpg file name) and choose OK.

Putting a Picture in your Page

To put a picture in your page:

  1. Open or create, using Word IA, the page that you want to put the picture into.
  2. Click at about where you want to place the picture.
  3. Click the Picture button in Word IA's toolbar and follow the instructions on the screen.
